In an attempt to defuse the leadership conflict between Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd, powerbrokers within the Federal Labor party have proposed installing a 3D printer as compromise leader.
Under the scheme, the 3D printer would be parachuted into Batman, the seat of retiring Labor MP, Martin Ferguson.
Prior to the upcoming election, the 3D printer would lead the Federal party from outside the parliamentary chamber, much like Campbell Newman led the LNP prior to the last Queensland election.
The advantages of the leadership compromise include:
- A 3D printer can make something out of nothing and always does what it’s told.
- The Australian public is sick of two-dimensional politicians.
- 3D printers are the future, whereas Kevin Rudd is the past.
- Only a machine can beat a machine like Tony Abbott.
Are you happy for the next prime minister of Australia to be a 3D printer? If so, what would you like them to create for Australia?
