The Campbell Soup company has announced plans to “out-sauce” its sauce making to the Queensland Government.
“There are certain services that government can just provide better and cheaper than the private sector,” said Campbell’s Australian General Manager, Aaron Symons.
“The private sector should get out of the way of government and let them get on with the work they do best.”
“With the Newman government, their obvious expertise is making meals of things.”
Mr Symons said that the company’s “out-saucing” plan will allow Campbell Soup to focus on the more profitable parts of its business, such as health and transport services.
The Campbell Soup company is not alone in its outsourcing plans.
Rival company, Heinz, is also reportedly in negotiations with Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, about the production of a new, saucier Big Red.
