Queensland Chief Justice Tim Carmody has refused to be drawn on the ongoing attacks against him by the Courier-Mail.
In a series of stinging articles, the newspaper has aired allegations about the Chief Justice’s slow work rate and divisive management style.
The Courier-Mail has also compared Chief Justice Carmody unfavourably with more respected judges such as Justice Margaret McMurdo and Matt Preston of MasterChef.
This week the paper also published a controversial photo suggesting the Chief Justice is supplementing his judicial income by moonlighting as a rubbish collector.
The Chief Justice’s office has advised that it is too soon for him to comment about the Courier-Mail‘s campaign.
Chief Justice Carmody is expected to hand down his judgement about the Courier-Mail some time in the next 12 months, once he gets round to finishing all his other decisions.
