Following the success of its SuperCoach football competitions, News Limited has launched SuperPolly in 2013. Hailed as the ultimate fantasy politics game, SuperPolly challenges participants to pick the best point-scoring political team as the 2013 Federal Election season unfolds.
Under the rules of SuperPolly, each team in Federal Parliament is allowed six substitutions over the course of the election season, including one change to the team’s captain. In week one, Gillard’s Dillards have substituted Nicola Roxon with Mark Dreyfus, and Chris Evans with no one in particular. Their main rivals, Abbott of a Joke have made no changes to personnel but are looking to take on some policy in coming weeks. Despite insisting that they refuse to play political games, The Independents have spent up big, swapping Craig Thomson and Peter Slipper for Gary Ablett Jr and Johnathan Thurston.
