The Queensland police have made a high profile arrest in its war against stupidism.
The police arrested a Brisbane man found standing near LNP campaigners dressed in an “I’m With Stupid” t-shirt.
“This is a big blow to stupidism,” said Police Commissioner Ian Stewart.
“Our informers have been telling us for three years that there are stupid people threatening Queensland.”
“Now we’ve arrested a self-confessed member of the stupid network. We’re pretty pleased.”
Commissioner Stewart said that 10 officers were needed to arrest the man because “stupid people can be quite dangerous.”
“The individual in question was so stupid, he was at a political event of his own accord,” said the Commissioner.
“Even stupider, he talked about free speech and things that haven’t existed in Queensland for years.”
“My officers are to be commended for not tasering the individual.”
Reports that the arrested man operates a Campbell Newman parody account on Twitter were laughed off by the Commissioner.
“Don’t be stupid. Why would anyone dare make fun of the Premier?”
