McDonald’s has continued its war on obesity by pledging to tow away any customer who spends more than an hour near its food.
Under the new scheme, patrons who exceed McDonalds’ “60 minute McLimit” will be towed out of restaurants and will be prohibited from returning for three hours.
Similar rules will apply to patrons’ vehicles.
Playground visits and arguments between separated couples handing over their children will also be limited to one hour.
McDonald’s hope that the move will promote the company’s reputation as somewhere you can eat, play and hand over children for up to 59 minutes without becoming obese.
“The latest science shows that healthy eating is all about moderation,” said a McDonald’s spokesman.
“Towing people out of restaurants might seem extreme but it is actually an important part of maintaining a healthy diet.”
