Following the use of Facebook to incite civil unrest in Britain, Australian police have questioned a Sydney man about his attempts to use the internet and talkback radio to incite a ‘citizen’s revolt’.
The man from Warringah, called Tony, is alleged to have made inflammatory speeches in which he has urged Australians to attack government policy, such as the carbon tax and to “fight this government every hour of every day of every month until this tax is overthrown.”
Police have increased their presence on the city’s iconic ferry services after the man also vowed to “stop the boats.”
