Prominent rich person John Singleton has removed his racehorses from the care of trainer Gai Waterhouse after a bust-up over whether his champion mare, More Joyous, can win Channel 9 singing contest, The Voice.
“Gai has repeatedly assured me that More Joyous could win anything she was entered in,” said Singleton. “Yet, on the weekend, I hear from very reliable sources that Tom Waterhouse is telling people that she couldn’t win The Voice. It’s not fair and I won’t stand for it.”
Singleton has since transferred More Joyous into the care of The Voice‘s Delta Goodrem.
“Delta tells me that More Joyous is wonderful,” said Singleton. “Delta reckons More Joyous has a beautiful soul and sings like an angel. Luckily, Seal happened to be over at Delta’s place and he agreed with everything Delta said.”
Despite the change in stables, the matter is far from resolved. Tom Waterhouse has responded that he will not let Singleton’s allegations go unchallenged. “Singo is wrong. Completely wrong. Mum says that More Joyous’s singing voice is as good as ever. In fact, I had already backed her to win The Voice for $300,000. I am going to see my lawyers about defamation.”
tomwaterhouse.com is currently offering odds of $1.75 that Singo is full of it and even money that Tom might get caught out.
