Queensland’s strong man Premier has vowed to stand strong on his strong way of speaking.
Reacting to a report that he used the word “strong” 21 times in a single press conference, Campbell Newman said he will continue to send a strong signal to Queenslanders about the need for strength and strong government.
“Strong leaders aren’t afraid to use strong words, like “strong”, and use them strongly,” said Mr Newman.
“My strong LNP team has a strong plan to make a stronger Queensland.”
“We need to make strong choices to keep Queensland’s economy strong.”
“I remain strong in my resolve to take strong action and to do it strongly.”
The Premier said that the LNP’s strong position was much stronger than Labor’s string of understrength promises.
“Labor’s string of things are not strong. Labor’s string of things are wrong.”
“Labor’s string of wrong, non-strong things will only string you all along.”
“I want to make this next point perfectly clear.”
“Labor’s non-strong, wrong string of things are not as stringent or as strong as the things my strong things bring.”
“Anyone who says otherwise is just talking nonsense.”
